We went to Santa Clara, California for Abbie’s last cheer competition. They got third place. We had a great time LuLu, auntie Erin, Charlotte, and Anna met us there. We also got to meet up with aunt Katy in San Jose.
End of season cheer banquet. Abbie got the “hardest worker” award. So proud of you, Abbie!
Weekend in Portland for PACWest competition for Abbie. Her team did great!
I had picked up these knives for the boys and one for me from one of my favorite small online businesses - Thunder Crow/Creek Stewart.
A little rainy/snowy/cold today so PJ, Noah and I built our knives today. (Hunter will have to do his when he comes home at some point:).

We started by carving and sanding the handle.
We then uses the resin the fix the blade in the notch, did some burning on the handle to decorate, put some oil on the handles and did the final twine wrap to keep the blade in.
Presidents’ Day weekend 2024. Abbie had a cheer competition in Seaside so we decided to make a mini vacation out of the event!
We arrived Friday and watched the goonies with the kids Saturday we explored around the Astoria area to see some of the famous scenes from the movie.
We did some great hikes and walks along the coast. Here is deadman’s cove across the border in Washington.

Abbie looked stunning in her red dress for the high school winter formal. After the dance the moms took them for out for pie.
This weekend there has been a deep cold snap across the northwest!
Hunter is near a town called Augusta Montana and they had temps down to -57 F. They had fun throwing hot water inter the air watching it instantly freeze.
Kelly and Abbie were in Portland this weekend. It usually just rains in the winter but they had temps down below zero with windchill and snow on the ground!
PJ, Noah and I were in Bend. We also had some cold temps -6/7 F all day on Saturday with over 12 inches of snow. Still cold today in single digits (around 5) so a little warmer and sun!
Blue bird day on the mountain. Snow still a little light but a great day with the whole family (minus Hunter of course) along with the Gormly clan and their friends the Foster family.
