Hunter and Preston received the Dependability award at school on Friday. We are so proud of their hard work.
Kelly wanted a bench in one of the rooms to our house so I made this one to the size she wanted. The design was based on a bench we saw in one of the Spanish missions in Texas. We then stained it a grey/brown color. A fun afternoon DIY project.
Holly found some deer antlers down on the lower part of our property. It’s cool to find a pair like this.
This past Sunday I took Hunter, Noah and some of their friends up to the ski hill. Amazing early spring weather.
Hunter has been playing bass and 6 string guitar at school. This year at the middle school spring recital he as part of an 8th grade group that performed the song 'Don't stop believing'. He played bass and did an amazing job.
Abbie got the Little House on the Prairie cookbook for Christmas. We have been reading the books and we come across meals in the stories Abbie would like to try so the cookbook has all the recipes! With the recent snow we decided to try molasses on snow. We boiled molasses and brown sugar and then poured it on snow in pans where it quickly hardens into toffee like candy.
Noah’s last soccer game was today and he scored 3 goals and his friend scored 3 goals as well. Great way to end the season. So proud of their hard work!

Both Hunter and Noah are doing the ski elective on Fridays at school. The last couple of weeks I have been able to go up and support and ski with the kids. After all the snow this past week the conditions on the mountain are amazing. Here is a picture of Hunter and me with a sunny break yesterday and then one of Hunter carving powder on his board.

This past week we got hammered with snow. We beat a single day snowfall record in Feb that was set in 1917. Since Monday we had over 30 inches fall in our yard... and its March now!
