We drove the boys up to sleep away church camp on Tuesday evening. They should have a fun few days together enjoying swimming, hiking, archery, canoeing, crafts, skits and many other fun out door activities. It is their first time away from home. Hopefully, it will be a fun experience and Abbie will want to go with them next year.
During July and August weekends Mt Bachelor offers sunset dinners at Pine Martin Lodge so Kelly and I decided to check it out tonight. It was fun seeing the ski area in the summer and riding the chair lift both up and down!
On Saturday we spent the afternoon at Suttle Lake. The weather was beautiful with a warm breeze.
The kids are participating in the summer reading program at our local library. Each month they draw a winner and they can come in and pick out a prize. Abbie chose a white fox with the book that goes along with it. She is one happy little reader.
Leanne and I held a 70th birthday celebration for Dad at Elmhirst Resort. Great food and fellowship.

We got up at the crack of dawn this morning and walked to the neighborhood school field to watch the balloons being launched over Bend. It was worth being a bit cold and tired to see them. Such a fun way to start the day!
Kevin and Abbie went out for frozen yogurt for a daddy daughter night out. Someone really loves their daddy.
Long weekend Camping Trip to Waldo lake Oregon with our good friends - The Bercots.
Waldo Lake is considered one of the clearest lakes in the US. It was a 1.5 hour drive from Bend.
