The Hotel has a 'Kids Club' for ages 3 up, so we dropped Hunter, Noah and Abbie off and went exploring up the coast using the city bus system with Preston. (notice the sand on Preston's face, where he fell forward into the sand with fresh sun screen on)
More Pool Fun
Dinners at the Resort (all inclusive) and chillin' by the pool in the evenings

On our way to Costa Del Sol in Southern Spain for a family holiday. (Cardiff Wales > Malaga Spain)

Kelly is still up in London with Hunter so with good weather the remaining 4 of us had fun around the house.
Picnic lunch in the courtyard
A walk in the field beside our house after lunch
A walk to the "wishing well" down the road (one of the kids favorite places)
Noah picked up a baseball bat for the first time today and once I showed him how to hold it, he made contact on his very first try! This video was maybe his 10th swing.... he was probably about 5 for 10 at making contact at this point... not bad considering he has never held a bat before! Will have to get him playing little league once we are back stateside.
Kelly and Hunter were up in near London this weekend visiting some friends. The weather was pleasant today so I took the remaining 3 kids to see up close a very iconic crop of Britain's agricultural landscape close to our house. The sun coupled wit some unsettled weather off in the distance gave a neat look to the sky.
While Hunter officially turned 8 on friday May 3rd, his party was deferred until Saturday May 11. We took some of his friends horseback riding and then came back for cake and pinata! Click here to watch a video!
After flying into Bend yesterday (Saturday) evening, with good weather predicted for Sunday a few of us from work decided to get up and hike Smith Rock this morning. Plus, getting outside in the sun is a good way to reset your internal clock to reduce the effects of jet lag. It was a spectacular walk over Misery Hill and then back along the river. First time hiking over the top for me. Great views of the snowy cascades as well as the famous Monkey Face rock formation. We also saw a rattle snake on the trail too, which is quite rare. One of the dogs in our party scared it out of its hiding place in the grass beside the trail. No bite on the dog thankfully.
Today I was on a flight from Seattle WA to Bend OR with amazingly clear skies flying past Mt Rainier (first photo) as we left Seattle and right over Mt Hood (second Photo). Both photos taken with an Iphone from the window of the airplane.
