Donaldson Crew Adventures

Our dear American friends the Newcombs who we met in Wales were driving through and stopped in for a visit. Von and Dellene and their youngest daughter Jessie have now been living in Thailand as missionaries. They are back in the states and are visiting their older children. Their youngest daughter Jesse will be joining her siblings in the south and attending college. Their oldest son is expecting his first child and Von and Dellene will be grandparents. So many wonderful things happening for this family. So happy we were able to connect and spend time together.

The only sad part is we forgot to take pictures of everyone the day they got in and just remembered to snap one right before they hit the road. Next time!

Our last full day in Wales.  We have moved out of our house.  Tonight is our office Christmas party at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport South Wales.  They have a winter wonderland at the resort in December so while Kelly was getting ready I took the kids down.  We ice skated - the kids got hot chocolate while I got myself a cup of mulled wine.

Kelly was up with Hunter and Noah visiting Barb and Ian this weekend, and I was home with Abbie and Preston.  Today the sun was out and there was very little wind so we went down to Llantwit Major beach.

With the nice fall weather continuing to hold we decided to take Lulu up to one of our favorite ares - the Brecon highlands just north of Cardiff.  Perhaps not high for US-West coast standards they are quite high for this area.  Here are some photos from our day out.  We visited Brecon Market town, Brecon Cathedral, Tre-tower castle (where Lulu was able to try mulberries off the tree) and a drive up over the highlands before returning home.
