Today was Good Friday and we had our good friends the Warricks, their grandparents and the Dittmans over. It was a wonderful evening celebrating Easter. The kids played outside, painted bird houses and decorate cookies while the adults visited and had lots of laughs. We couldn't have asked for a better evening. When you live far from family your friends become like family. So thankful for the rich friendships God has provided.
Hunter received the character trait of "Responsibility" in chapel this morning. We are very proud of him. Well done Hunter.
Last night we colored Easter eggs. The kids look forward to this every year. It's such a fun tradition.
After a great week with family in CA we returned home to a nice sunset with storm clouds over the mountains.
Our last night was spent the 6 of us going out for dinner. It was bitter sweet. Can't wait until the next time. Love you all!
Our last day was spent at the beach. We all had fun playing in the sand and being together at Aliso Creek. Beach days are so relaxed and easy. We will miss you warm sunny California.
Friday was our last full day in California. We started the day off by stopping by Gigi's house. We got to visit with her and show her some card tricks. It's always fun visiting Gigi. Next time we come to visit Gigi has promised to come to the beach with us. We look forward to the next time we see you Gigi. We love you!
On Thursday we went to Irvine Park where we went to the zoo and participated in some fun Easter activities. It was a beautiful day to play and be outside.
On Wednesday we drove to Great Grandma's house. It was a wonderful afternoon. The kids got to swimming, learn some card tricks from Great Grandma and enjoy an early Easter dinner with her. Great Grandma surprised the kids with Easter baskets with fun treats. We had a lovely afternoon all being together and making memories. We love you Great Grandma!!!
It has been a dream of Hunter's to go to Harry Potter Land at Universal Studios. Hunter has been reading the Harry Potter series over the last two years. It's what has given him a love for reading. Lulu and Papa made that dream come true this week when they took Hunter and his brother Noah to see it. Lulu and Papa get the "greatest grandparents" award for making two boys very happy. We love you LuLu and Papa!
