Spent a nice Saturday evening down at the Sunriver resort watching them float some balloons for a night glow. (They cant actually launch them at night but they really look pretty lighting up)

Hunter turned 12 today. Hard to believe he is this old. It seems like just yesterday he was born. We went as a family to Sun River to a virtual reality place where the kids got to play. Hunter had his friend Nathan from school come along. It was a great afternoon for a birthday celebration.
Thank you Hunter for being such a gift to us. Thank you for making us parents. We love you Hunter!!
Today is the second Sunday of Advent. Tonight we lit the second purple candle which is PEACE.
Due to T-storms last week we had to delay Noah's swimming party at SHARC in Sun River. This week the weather was great. Boys stayed outside until it closed at 8, although it was getting chilly by that point as you can see by the boys wrapped in towels.
This weather has been way unseasonably warm. It hit 66 degrees this afternoon on the car temp reading, which is incredible for March 8. We did a family outing to Fall River today. Drove southwest of Bend to the Fall River Campground. From there we simply hiked upriver along the fisherman's trail along the water returning the same way. Red came along and enjoyed playing in the water, as did the kids.
Sunriver is a destination resort and small village about 15 minutes south of Bend, that we enjoy going to now and again. Its Dec 26 and the sun was shining today so we thought it would make for a fun afternoon.
Here is a pano shot towards the mountains. You can see Abbie and PJ playing in the left side of the shot on the snow covered golf course.
Kelly, Sue, Hunter, Noah and Abbie went skating at the Sun River Ice Rink, while PJ and I watched and took a train ride. Abbie had some trouble remembering how to skate so we got her the walker and then within about 5 minutes she was done with the walker.
We finished off the evening with a winter fire on the back patio.
