Eight is great!

Preston turned 8 today. It seems like just yesterday our last baby was born. Preston is our happy easy going child. He wakes up with a smile every morning and he just brightens our day. Everyone loves Preston. He makes us laugh and is so fun to be with. We love you PJ!!! ❤️

The New York Colony

Hunter is learning about the early colonies in America. The students in his class got paired up and researched a colony to then present to the school during their colonial fair. They needed to sell the idea of people moving to their colony and why. The boys brought in bread in because the New York Colony was know as the breadbasket colony, donuts and a fun brochure along with a display board. They did a great job with their presentation. The whole school walked around and voted for the best one. Hunter and his partner won. It was a fun morning at school.

Abbie’s Irish Feis

Abbie, Preston and I went to Portland this weekend for an Irish Feis. Abbie placed 1st in two of her dances and a 2nd and a 3rd place. She was able to move up to the next level in two of her dances. We are so proud of our Irish dancer. ☘️

New Ride

Picked up a new (old) vehicle this past weekend. A red 1973 Ford F100. It’s nice having a pickup around. Here it is parked in the field on our first day of harvest this fall. Fun to drive and the kids love it. PJ’s first comment: where is the button to power the window up and down. All kids need to know what crank windows are!

Annual Labor Day Family Campout - 2019

We had such a great time last year camping a Little Crater Campground, on Paulina Lake in Newberry Crater south of Bend that we decided to go with the same place again this year.    Unfortunately Abbie was a little under the weather this year recovering from Pneumonia, but we made the best of it.  Some friends from Church - Pete and Dara came up Saturday for dinner which was really fun.
